Play Protect says it has never seen this app. What should I do?

This is expected for a beta APK installed outside Google Play. In the warning, tap “More details”, then “Install anyway” if you trust the download source.

Which permissions should I enable?

Open Android Settings, then Ailo, App info, and Permissions. Enable the permissions you want Ailo to use:

Calendar: create events and access the events in your calendars.
Contacts: access contacts to prepare a message or a call.
Microphone: voice conversations and dictation.
Phone: open the phone app and prepare number insertion.

How do I invoke Ailo from anywhere?

Choose Ailo as your default assistant in Android’s assistant settings. You can then invoke it from different places to chat and use dictation in a text field.

How do I enable contextual dictation?

In Ailo’s settings, enable “Contextual dictation”. Android will then ask you to enable its accessibility service.

When Android opens Accessibility settings, tap Ailo.
If Android shows a restricted-settings message, open Ailo, App info, then the three-dot menu in the top-right, and choose “Allow restricted settings”.
Return to Accessibility settings, open Ailo, enable “Use contextual dictation”, then tap “Allow”.

How do I connect Google Home?

Google Home is experimental. In Ailo’s settings, open Development at the bottom and enable it. Then connect Google Home and authorize the connection.

When can Ailo suggest another AI?

Enable handoff in Ailo’s settings, then choose the AI app you want Ailo to invoke. When a request needs fresher or more complex information, Ailo prepares the next step and suggests that you continue in the AI app you choose.

What is Gemma 4 E2B?

Gemma 4 E2B is optional. Open Ailo’s settings and download Gemma to add 100% local reinforcement for supported uses.
